PSBB in Jakarta, Number of MRT Passengers Decreases to 90 Percent"Passengers have adapted to these changes. We also don't receive any complaints from passengers so far," he said.
He informed, the closure of those three stations was recommended by PT. MRT Jakarta which was forwarded and approved by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub).
"We choose those stations because passengers still have other alternative transportation options. Besides, it is also close to Transjakarta Bus Stop, and the distance between those stations are also close," he explained.
Furthermore, PT. MRT Jakarta also plans to close several other stations. However, Kamaluddin was reluctant to explain other stations that will be closed due to MRT efforts to prevent spread of COVID-19 in Jakarta.
"We are still waiting instruction from Jakarta Dishub, after that, surely we will inform it immediately. For passengers, it has dropped drastically to 96 percent or only 4,000 - 5,000 passengers per day," he closed.
